Just a quick reminder that time is running out for this tax year. If you are think about sending that donation now is the time. All tax receipts for 2007 will be sent out by Feb 2008.

The final numbers were in from our Golf Tournament. The total raised was 89,100. Thank you, Campbell River!!

Sept 2007 - 3rd Annual Dinner

We held our 3rd Annual Dinner at the Maritime Heritage Center. Our program included a brief presentation on how we give out our grants, some charitable giving strategies and our guest speaker Tom Williams, who spoke about philanthropy. Our 2008 dinner is tentatively planned for Oct 23rd at the Maritime Heritage Center.

April 2007

The CRCF Board spent a Saturday developing a strategic plan for the next three years. Barbara Oates McMillan of Community Foundations Canada facilitated the symposium and distilled the discussion into a roadmap for the Foundation. The result will be on our website soon.

March 2007

April 2007 marks the tenth anniversary of the Campbell River Community Foundation. Since 1997 our permanent endowment has grown in excess of $350,000 and grants totalling over $50,000 have been made to charitable organizations in Campbell River.

January 2007

The Campbell River Community Foundation sponsored a seminar on "How To Write For Grants". Mauro Vescera of the Vancouver Foundation made the presentation to an audience of over eighty volunteers from community organizations. The event was organized by the Campbell River Volunteer Centre and held at the Maritime Heritage Building.
